An Avery 5160 sheet of 30 address labels filled from a spreadsheet

Avery 5160 is the standard US address label: 30 labels of 2 5/8" by 1" on a Letter sheet, three across and ten down. It is what most people reach for when they send holiday cards, invitations, mailings to members or a batch of letters to clients.

The hard part is never the sheet. It is getting a few hundred addresses from a spreadsheet onto it without typing them, and in Word that means its label wizard, a merge field in the first label and the Update Labels button. This template skips all of it: the address block already sits on all 30 labels, and your list fills them in order, left to right and top to bottom, then carries on onto the next sheet.

Avery 5160 questions

Does this template work for Avery 8160?

Yes. 8160 is the inkjet version of the same sheet, and 5260 and 18160 share the layout too: 30 labels of 2 5/8" by 1". Pick the 5160 template for any of them.

How many addresses fit on one sheet?

Thirty. A list of 75 addresses gives two full sheets and a third with 15 labels; the rest of that sheet stays blank.

What if a street name is too long for the label?

It wraps onto a fourth line, which still fits a 1" label at the template’s text size. The preview shows every label before you print, so a very long line is easy to spot and shorten in your list.

Why are my labels a little off?

Almost always the print dialog. Set the scale to Actual size or 100%, not Fit to page or Shrink to fit, and choose the paper size the sheet is made for. Print the first page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet in front of a window before you use real labels.

Do I need Microsoft Word?

No. MailMergic runs in the browser and makes a PDF you print from any computer, Mac included. You need your list as an Excel file, a CSV, or a Google Sheet.

Is it free?

You can try every label sheet without signing up. On the free plan each printed sheet carries a MailMergic watermark, and a paid plan removes it. See pricing.
