Frequently asked questions

What image formats does MailMergic support?
MailMergic supports PNG and JPG. Output matches the input format and preserves the template's original resolution and quality.
How is this different from Canva or Photoshop?
Canva and Photoshop are great for designing one image at a time. MailMergic is for when you have one design and need to generate hundreds of variants from spreadsheet data. Upload your design once, map your data fields, click generate. No design skills required.
How is this different from a watermark tool like Watermarkly or uMark?
Watermark tools stamp the same content (a logo, a copyright text) on many images. Image mail merge stamps different content on each image, different names, different dates, different ID numbers per row. Use a watermark tool to protect photos. Use MailMergic to personalize images at scale.
Can I insert personalized images into a Word document during mail merge?
Yes, but that's a separate feature called Word mail merge with images. Use Word mail merge if you want to insert different images per recipient inside a Word document (like adding each employee's photo to a personalized letter). Use Image mail merge (this page) if you want to generate standalone PNG or JPG images from spreadsheet data.
Can I use my own brand fonts?
Yes. MailMergic includes the full Google Fonts catalog and supports custom font upload on every plan. Apply bold, italic, color, and sizing per field.
What resolution and quality is the output?
MailMergic preserves your template's original resolution and quality. If you upload a 2000×1500 PNG template, every output is a 2000×1500 PNG. No re-rendering, no compression artifacts.
Can I email each generated image to the recipient?
Yes. After generating, enable email delivery in the Send step. Each image goes to the email address from that row, with the image attached or embedded in the email body.
How many images can I generate in one batch?
Up to 100,000 images per merge run, with a 25 MB maximum file size for your data file.
How does pricing work?
Image mail merge is available on Free, Starter, Pro, and Enterprise plans. One credit per generated image. The Free plan covers small workflows; Starter and Pro include monthly credit allowances sized for typical operational volumes; Enterprise adds high-volume sending and dedicated support. See plans and pricing.
