An Avery 5163 sheet of 10 shipping labels filled from a spreadsheet

Avery 5163 holds ten labels of 4" by 2", two across and five down. The extra height gives an address room to be read from across a sorting table, which is why small shops, makers and anyone shipping a batch of parcels use it for packages and large envelopes.

Most shipping lists already live in a spreadsheet: an export from the online store, an order sheet, a list of customers. This template places the address on all ten labels in 13-point type, so that list becomes printed labels without copying a single address by hand.

Avery 5163 questions

Does this template work for Avery 8163?

Yes. 8163 is the inkjet version of the same sheet, and 18163 shares the layout as well: ten labels of 4" by 2".

Can I print labels for only part of my list?

Yes. In the last step, before you generate, choose the rows to print, for example rows 1 to 10 for today’s orders. The labels start at the top of a fresh sheet.

Can I print postage on these labels?

No. MailMergic prints the addresses from your list. Buy postage at the post office or print it from your carrier’s website, and use these labels for the addresses.

Why are my labels a little off?

Almost always the print dialog. Set the scale to Actual size or 100%, not Fit to page or Shrink to fit, and choose the paper size the sheet is made for. Print the first page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet in front of a window before you use real labels.

What happens on the last sheet?

The rows that are left fill the first labels of a new sheet, and the rest of that sheet stays blank. A list of 75 addresses on a 30-label sheet gives two full sheets and one with 15 labels.

Is it free?

You can try every label sheet without signing up. On the free plan each printed sheet carries a MailMergic watermark, and a paid plan removes it. See pricing.
