The honest price math

For pure email outreach, Mailmeteor is cheaper and very good at its job. The comparison changes when every recipient needs a personalized document: with Mailmeteor you first generate hundreds of PDFs in another tool, host each file, and paste one link per row. MailMergic does the generating, attaching, sending and tracking in one run for a flat price.

Choose Mailmeteor if

  • Your emails need sequences, follow-ups and deliverability tooling rather than generated documents
  • You want emails in your own Gmail or Outlook Sent folder with reply threading
  • Your attachments already exist as files and rarely change
  • You want the lowest possible entry price for pure email merge

Choose MailMergic if

  • Every recipient gets a document generated from a template: certificate, invoice, contract, letter
  • You do not want to create and host hundreds of files by hand before every mailing
  • You need PDF form filling, Word, Excel or image templates
  • You want sending from a verified domain without your personal mailbox daily caps

MailMergic vs Mailmeteor: common questions

Can Mailmeteor create personalized PDFs from a template?
No. Mailmeteor generates emails, not documents. Its own PDF mail merge guide recommends producing the PDFs in tools like Word or Acrobat first, then attaching them via links in your spreadsheet.
How do per-recipient attachments work in each tool?
In Mailmeteor you host each file yourself (Google Drive, Dropbox, S3 or your server) and paste a link per row, with limits of 5 attachments and 5 MB per email via the dashboard (25 MB via the Sheets add-on). In MailMergic the personalized document is generated and attached automatically for every row.
Whose sending limits apply?
Mailmeteor sends through your own mailbox, so provider caps always apply: consumer Gmail around 500 emails per day even on paid Mailmeteor plans. MailMergic sends from its own infrastructure using your verified domain.
Is Mailmeteor bad? Should I avoid it?
Not at all. For email outreach it is excellent, with 4.9 stars from more than 11,000 Marketplace reviews. It simply does a different job than a document generation tool. Some teams use both.
